Champlain Tourism students go to Panama! A group of 28 students spent one week in Panama during the winter break as part of two of their program courses: Tourism in Latin America & the Caribbean and Sustainable Tourism Practices. Our students stayed at Playa Blanca near the new Rio Alto airport. They were able to visit Panama City, the modern downtown skyscrapers and the colonial town, Panama Canal, the rainforest and Anton Valley. Some time was also set aside for rest and relaxation at the beach and pool areas. If you are interested in applying to the Tourism program for the Fall semester, the deadline to apply is March 1st.
