The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association has released the names of the CCAA Scholar Athletes for the 2014-15 season. This award is bestowed annually to student-athletes who maintain an 80% or higher average over the academic year while participating in basketball, soccer or cross-country running at the provincial and national level. At the regional and provincial level, the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec does the same – recognizing student-athletes who compete in the RSEQ and maintain an 80% or higher average. The Champlain Cavaliers are proud to have 81 student-athletes from their 12 teams who’ve been honored with this accolade for 2014-15. 47 student-athletes have been named recipients of the CCAA Scholar Athlete Award, making Champlain Saint-Lambert the top school in Quebec. 34 student-athletes were recipients of the RSEQ Scholar Athlete Awards for their academic excellence work while participating in Badminton, Cheerleading, Football, Rugby or Volleyball.
