35 dynamic student leaders from Champlain College Saint-Lambert participated in an inspiring iLEAD weekend retreat on Friday, June 3, 2016. The event took place at the Centre Plein-Air L’Etincelle in the Laurentians, and was led by the wonderful staff from our Student Services department. The student leaders were selected from various groups on our campus (Student Clubs, Career Crew, The First-Year Leadership & Integration Program group, Athletics, and many more). Throughout the weekend, student leaders identified their own personal leadership style, as well as the areas they would like to further develop. They participated in skill building in areas of active listening, assertive communication, conflict resolution, as well as group dynamics. The various student groups presented their own vision of student life on campus and committed to collaborating with one another with the aim of promoting student involvement and creating a unified Champlain community.
